A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Salsabeel Amin. I’m 20-something, originally from Cairo, Egypt, but have recently moved to London, UK to complete my Masters of Design Degree at Kingston University.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my portfolio. I have an unstoppable passion for design in whatever form it comes in: Architecture, Interior Design, Photography, Product Design, Making... I enjoy exposing myself and working across different design fields. My background in Architecture has planted in me a strong urge to continuously hunt for inspiration in multi–disciplinary design areas; and use it to manage my way into creating my own discipline. Ideally, I seek to blend and overlap different design disciplines to create unconventional innovative outcomes. I am particularly interested in designs that are driven by our context and reflect or serve our everyday lives, personally or socially. My aspiration is to use my architectural background along with my making skills to create products that compliment the connection between architecture and the small components it inhabits; using small pieces to complete the big picture.
As the great Charles Eames says:
“Eventually everything connects — people, ideas, objects… the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.”
I hope you find inspiration here! If you need more info about my work or want to get in touch, shoot me an email! :)
