The works of Salsabeel Amin also caught the eye of visitors with the Ore collection, lighting designs that are inspired by Earth's materials. Combining three main elements: marble, brass and glass, the pieces are designed to have a simple form, complimenting one another when grouped together in different sizes or to connect with the rooms surrounding features.

"Creating items solely from found materials requires a certain level of panache; it's about integrating those waste materials into elegant designs. Salsabeel Amin makes lamps from found objects normally found on the street, elevating them to works of art."

Street Label is a lighting collection by Salsabeel Amin. She says, “The streets are one of the main sources of frugal innovation where a lack of resources leads to genuine and spontaneous creations. As a designer, it becomes more difficult to achieve this purer, natural way of making things. Street Label stands at a midpoint between street made creations and designed home products. The collection celebrates the ‘quick fix’ approach commonly conducted in street innovations. In the spirit of street behaviour, the floor lamp is assembled in a way that that compels the user to interact and have an understanding of the objects they own.”

"Designs made from found materials require an understanding for the beauty in the disused or unwanted. These designs are about integrating waste materials and transforming them into elegant designs. Salsabeel’s lamps made from objects found on the street look industrial and practical. Having to make do with what is available on the streets leads to genuine and spontaneous creations. The floor lamp is assembled in a way that forces the user to interact and have an understanding of the object. The rope at the back on the lamp allows you to adjust the height and position on the bulb."
